Stones & Shells Collection by Black Willow Designs

The stones and shells collection features the Fiona bracelet, the Faebian earrings, and Oceana necklace. Each piece is individually handmade by artist, Natalee (Gradeless) Wright.

Fiona bracelet – This bracelet features 68 sterling silver plated, 8mm rings that were hand linked by the artist to create a chain maille style bracelet; 7 inches in length. The handmade chain is decorated with individually hand wire-wrapped Sapphire shell beads, Soladite stone beads, freshwater pearls, and engraved silver heart spacer beads. This piece is finished with a sterling silver plated, twisted toggle clasp. ($35.00 value)

Faebian earrings – This earring set features three sterling silver plated, 8mm rings that were hand linked by the artist to create a cluster, dangle style earring; 1 ½ inches in length. The handmade ring links are decorated with individually hand wire-wrapped Sapphire shell beads, Soladite stone beads, freshwater pearls, and engraved silver heart spacer beads. They are finished with sterling silver plated hook style earring loops. ($17.00 value)

Oceana necklace – This necklace features a sterling silver plated twisted rollo chain; 18 inches in length. The chain accented with three sterling silver plated, 8mm rings that were hand linked by the artist to create a cluster, dangle accent. The handmade ring links are decorated with individually hand wire-wrapped Sapphire shell beads, Soladite stone beads, freshwater pearls, and engraved silver heart spacer beads. Well, it was just me, myself, and I...and any multiple personalities that I may have picked up along the way. I did have the usual Friday Movie night with my grandmother and mother, but they don't exactly get into the jewelry making. It would have been more of a class than a bead night.

Learn a New Bead Weaving Technique

 

So, I learned today that bead weaving is not my strong suit. I tried several different patterns and came up with lots of tangled, knotted beads. Ick! So, I chose to submit my blue version of the already listed Katherine Ring. So, meet Blair. She is as weaved as I will probably get!

Challenge: Simple Beaded Necklace or Bracelet

 

I chose to do a simple beaded bracelet. This bracelet is made with copper eye pins. Each pin is linked together. On each pin is two olive Czech glass beads and one emerald glass bicone bead held in place by copper crimp beads. All finished with a copper alligator clasp.
